The events during the forty days between Resurrection and Jesus' Ascension cannot be arranged in journeys as Jesus just
appeared and disappeared at will. Of the ten recorded appearances, five were on the day of Resurrection, the first Easter Sunday.

1. At Jerusalem: Mary Magdalene, the other women, Simon Peter, ten disciples {Thomas being absent,
   a week later to the eleven disciples and then to James, the Lord's brother
2. Near Emmaus to two disciples, not apostles
3. Near the Sea of Galilee with seven of the apostles
4. On a mountain in Galilee with over 500 of his disciples
5. Near Bethany, 40 days after the resurrection, to the eleven disciples. .
